Morocco is preparing to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to be held from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026. The matches will be held in nine stadiums spread across six Moroccan cities:
Rabat: Prince Moulay Abdellah Complex (69,500 spectators)
Tangier: Grand Stade de Tangier
Casablanca: Mohammed V Stadium
Agadir: Adrar Stadium
Fez: Fez Sports Complex
Marrakech: Grand Stade de Marrakech
The Prince Moulay Abdellah Complex in Rabat will host the opening match and the final, in addition to one of the semi-final matches. The Grand Stade de Tangier will also host the other semi-final match. The quarter-final matches will be held in the Mohammed V stadiums in Casablanca, the Adrar stadium in Agadir, the Fez Sports Complex, and the Grand Stade de Marrakech.
At the draw ceremony held in Rabat, Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, confirmed that the organization of this tournament is personally monitored by King Mohammed VI, pointing out Morocco's commitment to providing all means for the success of this continental event.
This is the second time that Morocco has hosted the Africa Cup of Nations, after the 1988 edition. Since then, the tournament has expanded to include 24 teams, reflecting the growth and development of African football.
It is noteworthy that Morocco is planning to build a 115,000-seat stadium near Casablanca by 2027, in preparation for the possible hosting of the 2030 World Cup final, which will be held in partnership with Spain and Portugal.
As the tournament approaches, the eyes of football fans are turning to Morocco, which seeks to organize an exceptional version of the Africa Cup of Nations, reflecting its commitment and dedication to developing the sport on the continent.
